I have recently completed my PhD (December 2011)!

Research
My research interests mainly focus on the analysis and modeling of gestures for interacting with sounds, involving:
- The design of experiments for the analysis of how people bodily represent a sound using gestures intending to link both mental and gestural representations of sound.
- The modeling of gesture using Bayesian models
- The development of tools for real time gesture analysis and control of sound (compatible with various interfaces)

Scientific Projects
- Gesture associated to a Sound: Studies of the gesture responses to sound stimuli
- Interlude (ANR Project): The “interlude project” is a research project exploring novel gestural interfaces for musical expression. The interaction paradigms are centered on gestures and body movements.
- Musical Gesture Workshop: Exploring the following two themes: gesture in (technologically mediated) music and gesture in sonic interaction design (SID) overlap in many domains.
- GDIF / SpatDIF projects: recent meeting at IRCAM. How to store, stream, share data from gesture capture systems and/or spatialization data.
- March, 2010. STSM SID Project with Marcelo Wanderley at McGill University. The project is supported by the COST action Sonic Interaction Design (European Project). The aim was to study how intrumentalists' ancillary gestures can be represented as sequences of elementary gesture primitives.
Art-Science Projects
- GAVIP project: The objective of GAVIP is the conception and the exploitation of an immersive, interactive and multimodal platform.
- NUAGE project
