Musical Events Modelling
From IMTR
A short musical event can be defined by more parameters than a note's pitch, intensity and duration. Namely, the recognition of specific pitch or intensity contours, articulations, as well as extended playing techniques would allow a richer musical vocabulary to be handled in musical interaction applications.
Approach
The goal is to build acoustic models in a flexible way, starting with the composer's vocabulary and interaction needs. Using as little prior restrictive assumptions as possible, this approach should allow piece-specific vocabulary models to be trained and recognized.
